Dispatch Supervisor

Our client is currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Dispatch Supervisor to lead and manage their Dispatch Team.This role requires a reliable individual with a proactive, can-do attitude and a flexible approach to working hours to meet peak operational demands. The ideal candidate will be a strong team player with excellent communication skills, the ability to work on their own initiative, and a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy and efficiency in all dispatch operations.Essential Requirements: Proven experience in a similar dispatch role, ideally within the furniture industryExperience with manual handlingStrong organisational and problem-solving skills Key Duties and Responsibilities: Loading and unloading lorries safely and efficientlyEnsuring all goods are packaged correctly to prevent damage in transitEnsuring loads are secure, safe, properly segregated, and accessible for each deliveryMaximising space and weight efficiency when loading vehiclesCounting and checking goods in and out, and accurately completing documentationPrioritising workloads in line with delivery and production schedulesLiaising with Logistics, Warehouse, Sales, and Production Planning teams to ensure orders are accurate and ready for dispatchIdentifying and resolving issues prior to dispatchCoordinating with delivery drivers, ensuring they have correct paperwork, routes, instructions, and necessary toolsMaintaining security of vehicles and keys at all timesUpholding Health and ..... full job details .....
