Dispatch Operative Required ASAP Reading. Late Shift (2.30pm - 11pm) 13 - 14.50/hourRole: Dispatch operative is responsible for correctly pulling and packaging finished orders in preparation for international and domestic transit. This position requires high attention to detail with the ability to reconcile orders. Basic computer skills are essential. Working Hours: 2.30 - 11pm Monday to Friday (Late shift) Education: GSCE/NVQ or equivalentExperience: Packaging and shipping of industrial components preferredProcessing of goods through company or third-party systemsMain Job Duties:Understand and follow all aspects of health, safety and risk management as set out by the companyCompares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of outgoing shipments to verify information against orders and records.Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons identifying shipping information on cartons.Packages select preassembled containers, inserts items into containers, using spacers, fillers, and protective padding.Use of computer programs such as ERP, Internet, regularly throughout the shift.Loading/Unloading of company or third-party vehicles.Operate company forklift trucks and manual handling equipment for department and in support of other departments in the plant.Undertake and complete all company mandated training.
