About the Role

The Dispatch Operative PM Shift in Clevedon involves preparing and shipping components for a manufacturer serving the semiconductor sector. Working Monday to Thursday from 14:30 to 12:30, this full-time temporary role pays £19.76 to £31.66 per hour, with overtime at enhanced rates. Key responsibilities include picking, packing, and loading items for despatch, alongside maintaining accurate inventory records. Candidates need strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently during afternoon hours. A reliable transport method is essential. Despatch Operative
Location: Clevedon, North Somerset (Transport required) BS21
Pay Rate: £19.79 per hour ( includes shift allowance )
Working Hours ( 37.5 Hrs ):
Monday to Thursday: 14:30-12:30
Friday: OFF
Contract Type: Temporary ongoing
Overtime available:

  • Weekdays Paid at x1.75 base rate
  • Weekend: Paid at x2 base rate

Pertemps are currently recruiting for a Despatch Operative to join a leading manufacturing company based in Clevedon. The company specialises in producing vacuum and exhaust management systems used within the semiconductor industry. Due to site requirements, successful candidates must provide a full and checkable 5-year work history. Any employment gaps of more than 28 days must be fully explained and supported with evidence. A DBS check will also be carried out.
Key Duties
  • Carrying out general despatch duties
  • Preparing goods for despatch and ensuring all required documentation is completed accurately
  • Liaising with freight forwarders, couriers and internal departments
  • Producing shipping manifests using the company’s in-house freight forwarding system (full training provided)
  • Supporting warehouse operations and maintaining a safe working environment
What We’re Looking For
  • Previous experience working within a warehouse or despatch environment
  • Good computer skills and confidence using internal systems
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures
  • Counterbalance Forklift Licence would be advantageous but is not essential
  • Reliable, organised and able to work effectively as part of a team
