A well-established manufacturing business is seeking a Dispatch Operative to support the accurate processing, professional packing, and timely dispatch of goods from site. Working within a fast-paced environment, the successful candidate will ensure high standards of quality, documentation, and safety are maintained across all outbound logistics activities.
This position would suit an individual with previous experience in dispatch or logistics within a manufacturing setting. It''s ideal for someone who is organised, hands-on, and confident working both independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and an understanding of health and safety protocols are key to thriving in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
* Pack and dispatch goods to meet professional standards and customer expectations
* Safely load, unload, and move goods using appropriate handling equipment
* Use woodworking skills to prepare and build secure packaging and packing cases for shipment
* Maintain stock levels and replenish materials within the dispatch area
* Process shipping documentation accurately and liaise with other departments and external drivers
* Follow company Health & Safety procedures and contribute to ongoing improvements in working practices
