Discipline Manager - Civil and Structural Engineering

Job Description We are seeking candidates for this discipline leadership position to manage and grow the existing team and provide technical leadership to the function. Our engineering team is growing to meet increased demand for UK projects across a range of sectors including energy transition and resilience; nuclear and defence; water; highways; aviation and rail. The Civil and Structural Engineering (CandS) team includes responsibility for Civil, Structural Engineers, Geotechnical Engineers, Hydraulic Engineers, Temporary Works Engineers, Highways and Drainage Engineers and Infrastructure Project Engineers. This team currently stands at 60 head count with secured demand to support consistent growth. The Discipline Manager will report to the Group Director of Engineering Services and is responsible for technical and line management of the discipline teams and the delivery of engineering design on projects through its people, processes and systems. This is a (hybrid) office based role, located at the Costain Engineering hub in Manchester with an expectation of office based working for two to three days per week.
