Job Title: Disabled Facilities Grant Officer - Interim Location: UK 27.29 PAYE / 36.78 Umbrella Contract Type: Interim About the Role: We are seeking a Disabled Facilities Grant Officer to administer Disabled Facilities Grants (DFGs) and ensure disabled residents can remain living independently in their homes. You will assess housing conditions, process grant applications, and monitor adaptation works to ensure they meet satisfactory standards. This role involves interpreting recommendations from Occupational Therapists, drawing up schedules of works, and managing financial means-test assessments. Key Responsibilities: Administer DFGs, including interpreting Occupational Therapist recommendations and drawing up schedules of works based on property inspections. Carry out financial means-test assessments and ensure compliance with the Housing Grants, Construction, and Regeneration Act. Survey residential properties and prepare specifications, drawings, and schedules of work. Manage adaptation or improvement projects, ensuring they meet building regulations and health and safety standards. Liaise with clients, contractors, architects, and internal teams to resolve issues on-site. Process applications for property licences, including inspections and assessments of management standards. Take enforcement action for non-compliance with housing conditions and licensing requirements. Scrutinise schedules of works, tenders, and estimates to ensure value for money.
