Key Responsibilities As a Senior Social Worker, your duties will focus on complex casework and peer support:Case Leadership: Manage a reduced, specialized caseload consisting of the most complex or high-risk cases, often involving high-level risk assessment, complex family dynamics, and court proceedings (Public Law Outline / PLO).Expert Consultation: Provide formal and informal consultation, guidance, and support to colleagues and Newly Qualified Social Workers (NQSWs) on complex statutory requirements and risk management.Legal Expertise: Take the lead role in preparing comprehensive court statements, care plans, and attending court hearings, ensuring robust analysis and evidence-based decision-making.Quality Assurance: Act as a champion for best practice, contributing to service audits and quality assurance processes within the team.Mentorship: Support the professional development of team members through reflective supervision and peer coaching.
