Director – (SSG) Strategy and Execution – EY Parthenon. The role sits in the SSG (Software Strategy Group) within the Strategy and Execution team, EY’s leading market team providing Technology, Operations and Financial advice to corporate and private equity firms involved in acquisitions, divestitures or restructurings. The team includes advisers with specialist commercial, operations, software, technology, cyber, finance and deal/transaction experience from industry, advisory and audit backgrounds. SSG competencies include Product and Technology, Enterprise Technology and Cybersecurity.As a Director in our team, you’ll advise clients across software and tech-enabled services sectors, supporting in developing and executing strategies for transactions, applying your technical skills across the MandA lifecycle from diligence to technology strategy assignments including pre-deal diligence, portfolio review and post-deal value creation engagements.Responsibilities

Lead engagements with clients on a variety of topics, ranging from diligence to strategy assignments.Diligence: Product and Technology diligence — market-leading diligence of software companies, including assessment of product capabilities, architecture, debt, RandD organisation and development processes; integrated diligence combining product/technology with commercial due diligence for a cohesive market and operations view.Strategy: assess software development organisation for capacity, talent and process; develop technology strategy and roadmaps; evaluate product strategy and roadmaps; assist with post-merger portfolio rationalisation where applicable.Qualifications and Skills

Leading pre-deal, post-deal, value creation engagements with clients across sectors including private equity in the UK and EU.Directors manage engagement execution, lead teams, coach staff, conduct interviews, perform qualitative and quantitative analyses, and present findings to clients.Ability to develop hypotheses, insights and key findings; conduct qualitative and quantitative reviews (RandD spend analysis, benchmarking, etc.) to support strategic recommendations.Experience conducting in-depth interviews with stakeholders, industry experts and customers; analyzing business plans and pro-forma models to identify key drivers.Mentoring, coaching, recruiting and training staff; contributing to people initiatives.Educational background: master’s or bachelor’s degree (or equivalent); computer science or related field is a plus.Prior experience as a functional head in software (e.g., CTO, CPO, CIO) or software function within a traditional company; transactions-focused experience in technology due diligence or value creation is preferred.Strong understanding of Product Management, UI/UX, Software Architecture, SDLC, and data-driven insights; ability to work across on-site UK, EU and global locations.Strong communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills; ability to interact with C-suite and lead diverse teams.What Working At EY Offers
