Director of Whole School IT and Head of Computing (Secondary) – CLARUS EDUCATION. Permanent, full-time role based in Lewisham. To Start: January 2026. Salary: Inner London Pay Scale, MPS/UPS (£38,766 to £60,092) + TLR 1C (£13,969).We are looking to appoint a motivated and inspirational Head of Computing to lead our team of outstanding staff in this popular and highly successful curriculum area. This position also carries additional whole-school responsibilities, which can be tailored to the skills and experience of the successful candidate.Our Lewisham school is an 11–18 school with a Sixth Form in Southeast London. We are an outstanding school and our most recent Progress 8 score places us as the 10th best school in the country. Lead and develop the Computing and IT curriculum across the school, with the scope to take on additional whole-school IT responsibilities tailored to the successful candidate’s skills and experience.Drive high standards of teaching, behaviour and achievement; deliver outstanding lessons to our students.Contribute to strategic development and support the growth of the school’s computing provision, including the Sixth Form expansion.Collaborate with senior leaders and staff to maintain an excellent learning environment and to uphold safeguarding responsibilities as required.Utilise data to monitor and improve pupil progress in Computing and ICT (GCSE and A Level outcomes).Outcomes (illustrative from 2025)
GCSE Computing (27 entries): 9–7 = 52%, 9–5 = 93%A Level Computer Science (13 entries): A*-A = 31%, A*-B = 69%, A*-C = 100%Qualifications and qualities
