Director of Public Affairs Reports to: Chief Executive Officer Member of: Senior Leadership Team Location: Hybrid - office in central London, with regular travel to Westminster, Whitehall and member/industry events. Contract: Permanent, Full Time or reduced hours. Remuneration: Competitive, commensurate with experience. About The Ivors Academy The Ivors Academy is the leading voice for songwriters and composers. As a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting music writers, we protect their rights, empower them with the knowledge and tools they need to thrive, and celebrate their craft. Through advocacy, education and awards, The Ivors Academy protects, empowers and celebrates the songwriters and composers who originate all the value in music, working to ensure they are fairly compensated, fully respected and supported throughout their careers. It is a pivotal time to join the organisation. Songwriters and composers sit at the centre of the most consequential policy debates facing the creative industries, generative AI and copyright, fair streaming remuneration, licensing reform and the long-term recognition of creators'' contribution to the UK''s cultural and economic life. The Director of Public Affairs will lead the Academy''s voice in those debates and associated activity.
