Your new company
You will be working within the education sector based in Liverpool as Director of Facilities. Responsible for leading and overseeing management of the mufti sites, accommodation, catering, buildings and grounds.

Your new role
You will be a visible and effective leader; developing and leading site staff; able to perform at a high level strategically and operationally.

  • Ensure a high level of performance from all contracts
  • Effective and efficient leadership of the sites and grounds, catering services, service installations, energy/environmental management, and lettings to enhance the learning environment
  • Ensure all aspects of Health and Safety (legislation and implementation) are reflected in the highest of standards, ensuring all sites are safe and legally compliant;
  • To promote and monitor safe working practices to provide regular reports to the Director of Finance, SLT
  • To be responsible for the management of a rolling programme of maintenance, redecoration, furniture renewal
  • To monitor the expenditure of the relevant allocated budgets.
  • To actively monitor developments and changes in legislation in respect of health and safety requirements and advise on appropriate action as required
  • To develop, monitor and revise (when appropriate) documentation related to the areas of specific responsibility.
  • To develop and manage a short, medium and long term programme of repairs and maintenance of the buildings and site facilities.
  • To establish, monitor and review a list of contractors for minor work, including the provision of predetermined pricing/specifications as appropriate.
  • To establish, monitor and evaluate risk assessments within the areas of specific responsibility.
  • Provide clear and visible leadership at all times;
  • To ensure the effective operation of quality control systems in the areas of specific responsibility.
  • To ensure that site works/services undertaken meet the necessary quality standards and performance criteria and to seek modification, improvement or redress where required.
  • To ensure the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date information/records relating to the areas of specific responsibility


What you''ll need to succeed
You will ideally have experience within the education sector in a similar role.
Working knowledge of relevant Health and Safety regulations
Property management experience
Contractor management experience
Project management experience
Excellent leadership experience
