Director of Environment and Regulatory Services at Caerphilly County Borough Council.Location: Penallta HouseHours: 37 hours per weekContract Type: Full Time, PermanentSalary: £101,443 – £112,480 per year. Lead the delivery of the Councils Environment and Regulatory Service in terms of strategy and management responsibility.Ensure the delivery of high-quality, customer-focused services within your portfolio area and support the delivery of achieving the Councils strategic direction and objectives.Strategic lead for the following areas: Environmental Health, Trading Standards, Licensing, Registrars, Sport and Leisure, Community Centres, Green Spaces and Cemeteries, Emergency Planning, Community Safety.Set, model, and embed a culture that reflects the organisation’s values and behaviours; develop strong working relationships to overcome obstacles; lead staff to deliver services that make a tangible difference to customers.Qualifications and Experience

A professional degree qualification in a relevant discipline, plus a postgraduate management qualification.Chartered membership of a recognised relevant professional institution.Knowledge and understanding of policy and operational issues in Environment and Regulatory services, and local government generally.Experience of senior management and leadership.Application Details
