Director of Creative Learning and Wider Curriculum

OverviewConsilium Academies is seeking an ambitious and values-driven Director of Creative Learning and Wider Curriculum to lead on creative subjects including arts, PE, technology, humanities, and other open subjects across our Trust. You will shape and deliver a Trust-wide strategy that enhances cultural capital, promotes inclusion, and ensures that every young person - regardless of background - has access to an ambitious and enriching curriculum.
Responsibilities
Lead the strategic vision for creative and wider curriculum subjects, championing their role in building equity, diversity, and cultural opportunity.
Oversee curriculum design and assessment, ensuring subjects are ambitious, inclusive, and culturally rich.
Support staff through high-quality CPD and coaching, with a focus on adaptive and inclusive teaching.
Work with Pupil Premium and SEND leads to ensure equitable access and outcomes.
Build strong partnerships with cultural institutions, sports bodies, and arts organisations to broaden pupil opportunities.
Lead Trust-wide enrichment initiatives, events, and pupil competitions.
Qualifications
A proven track record in improving outcomes for disadvantaged and SEND learners.
Significant curriculum leadership experience, ideally across multiple schools or within a MAT.
Strong knowledge of national policy and research relating to Pupil Premium, SEND, and curriculum equity.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
A background in one or more creative or wider curriculum subjects.
