Business Development Director
to lead the national sales efforts and play a critical role in the continued growth of the business.This is a hands-on leadership role with the responsibility to both
win major contracts directly
and
inspire a high-performing sales team .You will be focused on penetrating Tier 1 construction contractors—especially those in the
social housing and public sector RMI (repair, maintenance, improvement)
space—while ensuring excellent pipeline conversion and internal coordination.The business proudly serves the social housing, public sector, and commercial markets.Duties and responsibilities of the role will include:Lead a team of 4–5 Business Development Managers across the UKPersonally secure major contracts and develop key customer relationshipsUse lead generation tools such as Glenigans to identify and convert opportunitiesBuild strategic relationships with Tier 1 construction and social housing contractorsSet clear KPIs and coach the team to exceed performance targetsCoordinate closely with internal sales, estimating, and operations teams at both manufacturing sitesAct as the voice of the customer within the businessYour ExperienceWe’re looking for someone who brings:A strong background in
B2B sales or business development
in construction, manufacturing, or compliance-driven sectorsProven leadership of successful sales teamsFirst-hand experience closing complex, high-value dealsAn existing network or the ability to open doors with
Tier 1 contractors within the social housing sector or strong experience of selling fire or security doorsetsExcellent commercial awareness, influencing, and negotiation skillsA hands-on, energetic, lead-from-the-front approachOnboarding and SupportYou’ll be supported by the CEO and CFO through a comprehensive onboarding program:Product Training:
1 week on the factory floor + 1 week with the estimating/pricing teamMarket Insight:
