Hundreds of thousands of artists of all sizes actively self-release their music through Amuse. We discover artists using a proprietary data platform that analyzes insights from both Amuse-owned distribution channels and third-party platforms.Role DescriptionThe Artist Service team partners with and elevates independent artists, forging strong connections with selected artists, managers, labels and other key industry stakeholders. As our Director of Artist Services, you’ll bring extensive experience from navigating the music industry, including passion and curiosity for the innovations and changes that impact artists and their needs. In this role, you''ll leverage data and insights to inform strategic decisions, guiding our teams and artists towards continued success. Through strong networking and a natural ability to form relationships, you’ll foster key relationships and keep the team inspired, further cementing Amuse in the industry.Responsibilities:Oversee general management and PandL responsibility for Amuse’s Artist Services, reporting to the CEODirect responsibility and strategic oversight of the following business areas: AandR, artist promotion, rights management / operationsDevelop and manage relationships with existing and prospective artists, managers and label partnersDesign and execute AandR strategies to discover and engage effectively with artists, managers, and labelsFoster innovative artist promotion strategies and servicesManagement and business development of Amuse’s licensed catalogueContribute to overall Amuse’s strategy and be a key stakeholder in influencing technology and product roadmaps and visionQualities and skills you possess:10+ years of experience is required with meaningful AandR track record within recorded music and/or publishingProven leader with experience scaling AandR teams, executing marketing and promotion strategies, and demonstrating successful PandL ownershipStrong understanding of music rights and digital distributionStrong communicator (able to present and influence all types of audiences from artists to shareholders), adept at building relationships with artists, managers, and industry stakeholdersStrong analytical / numerical / IT skills (e.g. capable of understanding and applying data derived decisions)Proven ability to plan and execute: an ability to develop a coherent, forward-looking strategy to create new business opportunitiesEntrepreneurial, innovative, and passionate about artist discovery and enhancing Artist Services and driving differentiation in the marketPractical information:Scope: Full-time and permanentTeam: Artist ServicesReports to: CEOLocation: London or StockholmIf this description resonates with you, we hope that you will apply to this role as we''ll interview candidates continuously until we find our match.
