.Director, Family Engagement and Health Services to drive our mission to eliminate the gaps between young children’s potential and their success in school and life.As the Director, Family Engagement and Health Services II, you will lead the execution of cross-delegate FEH training and technical assistance (TTA) strategies while serving as a key connector between field implementation and content design. The Director will supervise the FEH team’s specialists, coordinate professional learning cohorts across delegates and partners, and directly support complex, high-impact sites through coaching and capacity-building. In addition to overseeing the implementation of functional development plans for team members, the Director collaborates closely with the Senior Director/Team Lead and the Program Quality team members to ensure alignment between Family Engagement and Health frameworks, training tools, and on-the-ground execution. They contribute to Early Learning innovation roll-outs, provide field-informed feedback to refine tools, and lead high-stakes support efforts, including preparation for federal monitoring reviews. This role requires both strategic leadership and hands-on coaching expertise to advance high-quality early childhood education across the network. * Serve as a liaison with FEH Program Quality Directors and Senior Directors to ensure alignment between content and implementation, including:
+ Programmatic benchmarks
+ Training scope and sequences
+ Tools and frameworks
+ Gap analyses and planning* Collaborate with the Senior Director and PQ teams to support FEH innovation roll-out, with specific responsibilities for training, coaching alignment, or testing strategies* Provide field-informed feedback on tools and approaches, helping refine resources for wider use* Model co-facilitation and co-design practices in professional learning and capacity-building efforts across the network* Provides targeted coaching to community partners/delegates in preparation for federal monitoring reviews, including interview prep sessions and on-site observations as needed* Master’s Degree in Social Work, Child and Family Development, Public Health, or relevant field preferred, at least seven years of progressively responsible experience in coaching, training and technical assistance, or systems-level implementation work. (*A Bachelor’s degree will be considered only with a minimum of ten years of directly related experience and documented completion of advanced formal training or certification in coaching, professional learning design, and/or TandTA leadership.)** A minimum of 5-7 years of progressively responsible leadership experience in early childhood education, with a strong background in coaching, staff training, program management, and family engagement and health initiatives.* A minimum of 4-5 years of supervisory experience, including performance management.* Proven experience in designing and implementing evidence-based early learning, family engagement and health programs that adhere to regulatory standards and best practices.* Previous experience in a leadership role overseeing a team of early childhood education professionals.* 3+ years experience in Head Start /Early Head Start or family, community engagement and health, including experience in coaching, supervision, program management and providing technical assistance.* Physical exam and background checks are required for this position.* Travel required locally or long-distance up to 50% of the time for work-related meetings and functions.
