TSA Surveying is seeking an experienced Director to join our Building Consultancy team in London.

This is an exciting opportunity for a senior Building Surveyor who is looking for greater autonomy, client responsibility and the opportunity to play a key role in the continued growth of a successful Building Consultancy business.

You will take responsibility for a broad and varied portfolio of Building Consultancy instructions, working with a diverse range of commercial property clients across London and the South East.

The role would suit an experienced Building Surveyor who combines strong technical expertise with commercial awareness, excellent client skills and a genuine desire to develop business and relationships.

You will have the opportunity to work independently, develop existing client relationships, win new instructions and help shape the continued growth and profile of the Building Consultancy team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and deliver a broad range of Building Consultancy instructions from inception through to completion.
• Manage projects including office fit-outs, refurbishment projects, design and contract administration.
• Undertake dilapidations, building pathology, technical due diligence and condition surveys.
• Provide Party Wall and Reinstatement Cost Assessment services.
• Take ownership of your own workload, managing multiple instructions and deadlines with a high level of autonomy.
• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, professional teams and other property stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to develop existing client relationships and generate new business.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider business and promote the firm''s broader property services.
• Contribute to departmental fee income, profitability and overall financial performance.
• Represent TSA Surveying professionally at client meetings, presentations, networking events and within the wider property market.
• Support and mentor junior and less experienced members of the Building Consultancy team.
• Help develop the team''s service offering, market profile and presence across London.
• Contribute to the strategic development and continued growth of the Building Consultancy department.

About You We''re looking for an experienced Building Surveyor who can demonstrate:

• Strong previous experience within Building Surveying / Building Consultancy.
• A strong technical understanding across a range of Building Consultancy disciplines.
• Experience managing instructions and projects from inception through to completion.
• Excellent report writing, presentation and communication skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of how Building Consultancy contributes to a wider property business.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and numerical ability.
• Confident negotiation, influencing and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to work independently while also contributing positively to a wider team.
• A professional, confident and client-focused approach.
• A proven ability, or strong desire, to develop client relationships and contribute to business development.
• Ambition and a commitment to continued professional development.
• A willingness to travel across London and the South East as required.
