The opportunityRole: Digital Developer (Frontend)Project: Public sector / government digital servicesLocation: Exeter - typically 1-2 days per week on siteDuration: Initial 6-month contractRate: Around £600/day (Umbrella)IR35: In scopeSecurity:SC cleared or SC eligible (for a government agency)What you''ll be working onDeveloping responsive, accessible UIs using Next.js, React, TypeScriptCollaborating with design and product teams to create intuitive, user-centred experiencesBuilding frontends that integrate with internal APIs and search indexesTaking part in code reviews, testing, debugging and continuous improvementsMaintaining and enhancing existing applications, diagnosing and resolving issuesContributing to technical documentation and helping shape project requirementsImplementing and working with CI/CD pipelines and automated testingTech stack and skillsStrong experience as a Frontend DeveloperSolid knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript plus React and Next.jsExperience with TypeScript and modern frontend toolingFamiliarity with Elasticsearch and SQL-like databasesGood understanding of Git and collaborative workflowsExposure to cloud platforms (Azure and/or AWS) and deployment strategiesComfortable working in an Agile, cross-functional teamNice to haveExperience with PyGeoAPI or GIS-related workExperience with Jira and ConfluenceThis is a good fit if you like owning the full lifecycle of frontend features, care about UX/UI, and want to contribute to highly visible services ..... full job details .....
