Digital Learning Designer Apprentice

to join our Learning and Development team at OHCandAT. In this exciting role, you’ll help design and produce engaging digital learning materials – including videos, infographics, e-learning content, and guides – that support staff development across our Trust. You’ll work closely with subject matter experts and gain hands-on experience with digital learning design tools, AI platforms, and digital storytelling techniques. Base pay, hours and duration

Salary:

Actual salary £22,134.51 per annum (FTE £24,000 per annum) + £500 bonus on completion of the ApprenticeshipHours and working pattern:

36 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.45am–4.30pm (Mon-Thu) and 8.45am–4.15pm (Fri). Term Time + 3 weeks in the school holidays (42 working weeks per year)Duration:

21 months (in partnership with Apprentify) - further details will be discussed at interview

Key Responsibilities

Supporting the design and development of engaging learning materials, including videos, infographics, quizzes and guides.Assisting with the full video production process, from planning and scripting to filming and editing.Collaborating with subject matter experts to create clear, learner-friendly materials.Using software tools like Canva, Descript, and PowerPoint to produce digital assets, and exploring and applying AI tools to support efficient and ethical content creation.Uploading and managing content on learning platforms and intranet.Contributing to continuous improvement by gathering feedback and updating materials.Taking part in planning and creative discussions within the team, bringing fresh ideas and learner perspectives to content creation.

Key Requirements

Eligibility for a Digital Learning Designer Level 5 Apprenticeship and commitment to completing the course requirements.GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics at Grade C/4 or above.A strong interest in digital learning design and learning and development.Good IT skills; ability to use Microsoft Office packages including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.Willingness to learn and use new software and technology, including AI tools.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to create engaging content materials.Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality, accurate content.Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines in a busy environment.Strong team player who can work collaboratively with colleagues across departments.A friendly manner and positive attitude, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.Able to adhere to OHCandAT’s Equality and Diversity, Safeguarding of Children and Vulnerable Adults, Data Protection and Health and Safety Policies.Experience with basic video editing software (e.g. Descript, Loom, Adobe Premier Rush) – Desirable.Experience using design software to create infographics or visual learning aids (e.g. Canva) – Desirable.Experience with using AI tools to support content creation, such as generating scripts or outlines for videos and articles – Desirable.Cycle to work schemeSeason ticket loanHome electronics purchase scheme
