MERITUS are recuriting for a Digital Hardware Design Leader to join our client in Stevenage on an initial 12 month deal to support upcoming major defence projects.DIGITAL HARDWARE DESIGN LEADER - INSIDE IR35 - 80 PER HOUR - 12 MONTHS - STEVENAGE, HERTFORDSHIRE - SINGEL STAGE INTERVIEW PROCESSAn anonymous client is seeking a Digital Hardware Design Leader to drive the design and development of advanced high-speed digital hardware solutions. This leadership role will focus on FPGA, MPSoC, and AI-based platforms for applications in SDR, radar signal processing, and sensor fusion, guiding multidisciplinary teams across the full product lifecycle.Key Responsibilities:Lead digital hardware design activities from specification through to delivery, ensuring alignment with system and customer requirements.Define hardware architectures and oversee detailed design of FPGA, DDR/Flash memory, and high-speed interconnect solutions.Provide technical leadership to cross-functional teams (systems, software, firmware, mechanical, and production).Drive best practices in signal integrity (SI) and power integrity (PI) analysis.Support design validation and board-level debug using VHDL, C, C++, or Python.Apply DSP knowledge to SDR, radar, and optical sensor applications.Set high standards for design documentation, configuration control, and quality.Mentor and develop junior engineers, promoting collaboration and innovation.Requirements:Significant experience in high-speed digital electronics ..... full job details .....
