Job Title: Digital Electronics EngineerLocation: Edinburgh - 2-3 days per weekRole Type: ContractDuration: 12 monthsRate: 60.00 - 80.00 per hour Inside IR35 Our client, an established engineering consultancy, require an experienced Digital Electronics Engineer to join their multi-disciplined team working complex aerospace radar systems. Candidates would need to hold British nationality and have lived and worked in the UK for 5+ years and be eligible for SC security clearance. What the role of the Digital Electronics Engineer entails:Creating high-quality and robust digital electronics designsDocumenting and recording deliverablesSupporting integration and verification activities at hardware and system levelKeeping designs under configuration controlProviding progress reports What experience you need to be the successful Digital Electronics Engineer:Degree or equivalent in Electronics Engineering or other STEM-based subjectExperience of designing high-speed digital electronics using the latest FPGA and / or microprocessor devices and high-speed interconnect technologyExperience in schematic capture using Mentor Graphics (Siemens EDA) DxDesigner or similar toolsExperience of high-speed serial communication interfaces/ protocols (e.g. PCIe, Ethernet/ IEEE802.3, SPI, I2C, etc.) and high-speed bus architectures (e.g. DDR3/4)Use of high-speed digital design techniques such as signal termination, controlled impedance, matched length tracking, ground/ power planes, decoupling, etc. ..... full job details .....
