Overview

Digital Designer (eCommerce and Social Media) – Kite Clothing. We’re looking for a creative, multi-skilled designer to bring the Kite brand to life across our digital channels. This is a hands-on role designing and delivering engaging content – from e-commerce emails and website graphics to social media visuals and video edits. The ideal candidate will combine creative flair with technical skills, have a keen eye for detail, and a solid understanding of UX principles. You’ll be a visual storyteller who inspires customers, drives engagement and supports our commercial goals, shaping how Kite looks and feels online.What you’ll be doing

Reporting to the Brand Manager and working closely with the Ecommerce Manager and other internal teams, your responsibilities are to:Email

– Design, build and optimise e-commerce emails that are visually engaging and commercially effective; create layouts, graphics and templates that showcase products clearly, drive clicks and support seasonal campaigns; analyse and apply UX best practices to improve conversion and engagement; develop and enhance automation within the email programme to improve customer journeys.Website

– Design and update website assets (homepage banners, promotional graphics, landing pages); work within Shopify to implement updates; ensure assets are optimised for different devices and user journeys; support UX improvements to keep designs clear, accessible and conversion-friendly; explore opportunities to improve overall shopping experience online (navigation, product discovery, calls-to-action, customer journeys).Social and campaign creative

– Create graphics, animations and short-form content for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and Pinterest; develop campaign visuals for launches and promotions that are on-brand; support occasional print design to extend storytelling offline; contribute ideas for future campaigns that feel fresh and on-brand.Video and photography

– Manage post-production of product, lifestyle and behind-the-scenes content (selection, editing, retouching, storage); produce short-form video for social media from planning to editing; ensure assets are consistent in look and feel with a high-quality finish.Collaboration and brand guardianship

– Work with Marketing and Product teams to translate briefs into visuals that inspire and engage; ensure designs reflect Kite’s tone, values and identity across channels; keep up to date with digital, social and e-commerce trends and bring fresh ideas.What we’re looking for

Proven experience in a creative or marketing design role, ideally within e-commerce or retail; strong portfolio showing email design and build, including automated campaigns and customer journey flows.Experience with email marketing platforms (Klaviyo, Mailchimp or similar) and confidence in developing and optimising automation.Proficiency in CMS tools (Shopify or similar) and understanding of UX/UI principles to support website updates and improve the online shopping experience.Strong knowledge of social media content design (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest), including graphics, animations and short-form video.Photography and video editing skills tailored to social media.High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro/After Effects) and Canva.Strong understanding of digital design principles, layout, typography and colour theory with excellent attention to detail.Ability to balance creativity with commercial awareness and manage multiple priorities collaboratively.Genuine interest in sustainability and creating designs that reflect our brand values.Values

This is a full-time role, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a starting salary of £28,000 to £33,000 depending on experience. Holiday entitlement is 20 days plus bank holidays, with an extra day per year worked (up to 25 days total). We provide a company pension and generous staff discount on our products.
