Digital Designer — Location: Cambridge or Bristol (3 days onsite, 2 remote). Contract Length: 12 months. IR35 Status: Inside IR35. Start Date: ASAP.A client is looking for a Digital Designer for an initial 12-month contract. This role will contribute to the development of next-generation AI compute technology, playing a key part in the design and delivery of high-performance silicon.You will work within the Design team, supporting the creation of high-quality micro-architecture specifications and RTL implementations, collaborating closely with teams across Physical Design, Verification, and DFT.Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement RTL based on micro-architectureCollaborate across multi-site teams to ensure cohesive delivery and issue resolutionContribute to design infrastructure, methodologies, and EDA tool flowsPerform block and chip-level design checks: Lint, Synthesis, CDC, RDC, Timing Closure, CoverageWork closely with cross-functional teams including Verification, Physical Design, and DFTRequired Skills and Experience

Strong experience in digital design with hands-on RTL developmentSolid understanding of SystemVerilog or VHDLFamiliarity with EDA tools and digital design flowsExperience writing scripts (Python, Tcl) for design automation and issue resolutionExcellent communication and collaboration skills across teamsAbility to manage workload effectively in a hybrid working environmentDesirable Skills

Experience in processor or application-specific block designHigh-speed interface integration (e.g., PCIe, DDR)Arithmetic pipeline or floating-point unit designThird-party IP integrationSynthesis, STA, and DFT knowledgeExposure to project planning or team ..... full job details .....
