Diesel Generator EngineerLocation: BristolSalary: £31,000 - £40,000 per annumJob Type: Full-Time, PermanentHours: Monday - Friday The Role We are looking for an experienced Diesel Generator Engineer with a strong background working with diesel engines to join our team in the South West. You will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing a range of generators and associated equipment, both within the workshop and occasionally at customer sites. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong mechanical fault-finding skills and experience working on larger diesel engines. Key Responsibilities Carry out routine servicing, maintenance and repairs on generators within the rental fleet. Follow manufacturer service schedules and maintenance requirements. Diagnose and repair faults on customer equipment both in the workshop and on-site. Work on large diesel engines, including engines such as Perkins and Cummins. Assist with general yard duties, including loading and unloading equipment. Operate forklift equipment when required. Deliver and collect generators and ancillary equipment using company vehicles. Refuel and prepare generators as part of the delivery and collection process. Attend customer sites to carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs when required. Participate in an on-call rota to support customers and equipment outside normal working hours. Keep equipment clean and the workshop/yard maintained to a high standard.
