Diagnostics Engineer Technical SupportBristol On-site, 5 days per week £42k - £47k DOE This role doesn''t offer sponsorship at all, so you need full right to work in the UK permanently The OpportunityA growing technology business is looking for a Diagnostics Engineer to join its technical support function.This is a hands-on technical role focused on CAN bus diagnostics, fault finding and root-cause analysis. You ll use tools such as CANoe and CANalyzer to analyse CAN traces, decode messages and signals, and provide engineers with clear, actionable diagnostic information.You ll also help shape technical support processes as the function continues to grow.What You''ll DoAnalyse CAN bus traffic using Vector tools such as CANoe/CANalyzer.Decode CAN messages using DBC files and identify fault signatures.Diagnose hardware, software and configuration issues.Decide whether faults can be resolved remotely or require field intervention.Provide engineers and field service partners with clear technical findings.Build knowledge around recurring faults and diagnostic solutions.Work with senior stakeholders to improve support processes and workflows.What We''re Looking ForHands-on experience with CANoe, CANalyzer or equivalent.Strong knowledge of CAN protocol, message decoding and DBC files.3 5 years'' experience in diagnostics, technical support, test/validation or a similar hardware-focused role.Experience with complex electro-mechanical or integrated hardware/software systems.Strong ..... full job details .....
