The Opportunity


A well-established commercial vehicle dealership is seeking an experienced Diagnostic Technician to join its workshop team in the Greater Belfast area.
This is a key role within the workshop, focused on advanced fault finding and diagnostics across a modern fleet of commercial vehicles and vans.


The Role

  • Carry out advanced diagnostics and fault finding on HGVs, LGVs, and LCVs
  • Use manufacturer diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve issues
  • Support workshop technicians with complex mechanical and electrical faults
  • Conduct servicing, repairs, and system testing where required
  • Ensure all work is completed to manufacturer and dealership standards
  • Accurately complete diagnostic reports, job cards, and technical documentation
  • Assist with identifying recurring faults and improving repair processes

What We''re Looking For

  • Experience as a Diagnostic Technician or Senior Vehicle Technician
  • Strong background in electrical systems, diagnostics, and fault finding
  • Experience working on commercial vehicles (HGV, LGV, or LCV preferred)
  • Relevant qualifications (NVQ Level 3 / City andamp; Guilds or equivalent)
  • Familiarity with diagnostic software and tools
  • Full UK driving licence
