Be a driving force for automation within the low latency network group at DRW.Work on automating and improving development and release processes for software and hardware.Lead the implementation of CI/CD pipelines to enable automated deployment of software and configuration changes.Automate the lifecycle management of DRW''s custom hardware.Become the SME for our virtualized and containerized/cloud deployments.Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Deploy updates, fixes, and provide technical support for our DCIM (Netbox).Implement maintenance strategies for code and automation related to our management and data stack.Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using tools like Ansible and Python.Advocate for best practices around automation in collaboration with the operations team.Participate in the on-call rotation.Support VM, cloud, and bare-metal deployments.Manage automation issue backlog to identify and automate repetitive tasks.Required Skills and Qualifications:
At least 3 years of experience as a DevOps specialist, software developer, or SRE.Knowledge of networking in hybrid cloud environments (Proxmox preferred; VMWare and Terraform experience a plus).Scripting skills in Python and/or Go.Experience with Ansible, including collections and custom modules.Experience with containerization tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.Knowledge of Continuous Integration practices.Understanding of network communications (IPv4, subnetting).Desired Personal Characteristics:
