DevOps Engineer - Windows, Linux and Secure Deployment Synergize Consulting is recruiting a DevOps Engineer for a defence client. The role combines infrastructure automation with the deployment and support of Windows and Linux systems in secure environments. You will build and maintain repeatable deployment processes, troubleshoot infrastructure issues, and support the provisioning of end-user devices. The work includes environments with limited or no Internet connectivity, so practical experience of offline deployment is particularly valuable. Key responsibilities Automate Windows and Linux configuration, deployment and maintenance. Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for Windows administration. Support Group Policy, Registry and Desired State Configuration (DSC). Build and deploy Docker images, including in offline environments. Configure and troubleshoot networking, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing and Firewalls. Document deployment processes and work within an Agile/Scrum team. What we''re looking for Strong hands-on Windows administration and PowerShell experience. Linux administration and Scripting skills. Experience deploying and supporting systems in secure or air-gapped environments. Practical Docker experience, including image builds, networking and repositories. A sound understanding of infrastructure networking and troubleshooting. A recognised Scrum certification. Experience with end-user-device provisioning, Android, Java or Kotlin would be useful. ..... full job details .....
