DevOps Engineer- Kubernetes- Virtualisation

Overview

DevOps Engineer with strong Kubernetes experience and virtualization experience is needed to support our Higher Education client to implement infrastructure as code pipelines for deploying research-supporting applications within social science applications.The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for implementing infrastructure as code pipelines for deploying research-supporting applications and associated services on private cloud (on-prem) infrastructure using Virtual Machines and Kubernetes.Essential Experience

Experience deploying applications with KubernetesExperience implementing CI/CD pipelinesExperience with Infrastructure as Code development (Terraform)Ability to liaise with end-users to gather requirements, ensuring that application deployments meet their needs and that available resources are used efficientlyExperience working on virtualization projects, awareness of VMwareExperience using Ansible and GitHubDesirable Experience

Knowledge of public/private cloudExperience within a Higher Education environment, particularly working with research/academic stakeholders to translate their requirements into technical solutionsKnowledge of Python and Rstudio or Rancher or Kubernetes cluster on HarvesterAdditional Information
