DevOps Engineer

Job Summary: Why the role existsTo define, build and implement DevOps practise within the IT Technology team. Working alongside development and IT Technical teams will lead and support the transition of on-premise software services to public cloud (Microsoft Azure) and adoption of platform-as-a-service (PaaS) components, such as DynaTrace and ServiceNow.To work with third party service integrators to ensure ongoing monitoring, maintenance and fitness-for-purpose of public cloud subscriptions and tenants and retrospectively champion the adoption of cloud-based monitoring platforms. Job Description:The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for the definition, implementation and ongoing management of all public cloud services. Working with other IT professionals, will shape the future technology deployment of IT services to make use of Microsoft Azure alongside the current on-premise services.The responsibilities include, but are not limited to;1. Defining a cloud migration strategy and best practise2. Working alongside development and engineering teams identify candidate to migration from private to public cloud3. Create and maintain automation routines, automated remediation and incident response.4. Define Continuous Integration pipelines5. Work alongside development teams to deliver cloud solutions6.
