Overview

DevOps Automation Lead – Permanent opportunity. On site in Basingstoke. DV cleared role. £75,000 - £95,000.Responsibilities

Lead the delivery of DevSecOps tooling (CI/CD pipelines and integrated security tooling) and related processes, ensuring effective adoption and usage.Own significant parts of the solution, develop automation scripts, write build automation scripts (Ansible) and IaC (Terraform), configure and build CI/CD pipelines.Advise on DevOps tooling, best practices and secure engineering processes; work with the DevOps delivery team to understand roadmap and processes; align DevOps adoption with Engineering processes.Preferably experience in agile, sprint-based lifecycles. Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.Collaborate with the DevSecOps Tech Lead (MSL), Managed Service Teams and Engineering Process Lead to drive usage and implementation of DevOps tooling for secure build and test automation.Develop and document reusable automation scripts and IaC artifacts to support project teams in their deliveries.Act as an evangelist and advisor on the use of DevOps tools and automation technologies.Lead technical implementation and design activities, make design decisions and assess options; advise on DevSecOps technologies and processes to senior customers.Work with the DevSecOps Tech Lead (MSL), Product Owners and Scrum Master to define/prioritise work, raise risks/dependencies, and ensure the implementation meets requirements and aligns with business outcomes and security needs.Mentor junior engineers and contribute to planning the team’s work; report progress to the Solution Owner; define support approaches with the Service/Support Team; engage with other teams on tooling and dependency management.Your transferable skills and experience
