Development Technologist

D R Newitt are working with a clise client and highly respected Food and Beverage Manufacturing business, who due to growth are currently seeking a Development Technologist.

On offer is a salary of up to -36,000 plus unique company benefits.

You will be joining a thriving business based on a state of the art site in Somerset.

Key duties:

• Lead concept and recipe development activity for new and existing products.
• Liaise directly with customers to understand briefs, expectations and sample requirements.
• Build strong working relationships with customers, suppliers and internal teams including NPD, Technical, Operations, Quality and Supply Chain.
• Create and maintain accurate new product files, initial project information and supporting documentation.
• Ensure recipe development complies with customer codes of practice, raw material requirements and nutritional targets.
• Support bench, pilot and main plant development activities, including hands-on sample preparation.
• Manage kitchen equipment, ingredients and stock to support sample submissions.
• Support customer complaint investigations where formulation may be a factor.
• Provide clear information to support trials, launches, blend control, batch traceability and product quality.
• Support health and safety policies, procedures and legal compliance within designated work areas.
