Development Planning Highway Technician

Our client, a specialist consultancy in the highways and transport planning sector, is seeking a Development Planning Highway Technician to support development planning projects on a contract basis. The role will focus on producing accurate technical drawings and CAD documentation for highway and infrastructure schemes.

• Preparing highway and transport-related drawings using CAD software
• Supporting development planning and infrastructure design projects
• Producing detailed technical plans, layouts and associated documentation
• Working from engineers'' designs, technical information and project specifications
• Updating drawings in line with design changes and client requirements
• Collaborating with engineers, transport planners and project teams
• Ensuring drawings are accurate, clearly presented and compliant with relevant standards

• Experience working as a Highway Technician, CAD Technician or similar role within the highways sector
• Strong knowledge of highway design and development planning principles
• Proficiency in CAD software and the production of technical drawings
• Understanding of highway layouts, access arrangements and infrastructure plans
• Good attention to detail and the ability to interpret technical information
• Effective communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a project team
