Development Officer / Senior DO (Housing Association)

Your new company The services of Hays have been retained by our client, an established and growing Housing Association based in Belfast, to recruit a Development Officer on a temporary basis for a duration of 6 months with the possibility of further extension.Your new role Reporting to the Development Director, you will assist with the delivery of high-quality homes across a range of tenures. The role involves all aspects of development from inception to handover and final closure, with a particular emphasis on construction and project management / delivery management.This will include:Assisting in all aspects of control and supervision of projects within the development process.Coordinating the process of scheme design, detailed design, preparation of contract documentation, planning negotiations and applications.Regularly reviewing and assessing contract performance, expenditure and quality.Monitoring and recording contractor and consultant performance.Monitoring defects in conjunction with the Asset Management team.Monitoring consultants to ensure that the brief is met, costs contained and that optimum standards are maintained.Managing any non-performance issues within the design team.What you''ll need to succeed To be considered for this position, you must possess:A minimum of two years'' experience working in housing development with a relevant degree level qualification in property development or construction or 5+ years'' experience working in housing development if ..... full job details .....
