Development Manager

We are Living Streets, the UK charity for everyday walking. We want to create a nation where walking is the natural choice for everyday, local journeys; free from congested roads and pollution, reducing the risk of preventable illnesses and social isolation. We want to achieve a better walking environment and to inspire people of all generations to walk and wheel more. We are looking for an organised, collaborative and motivated Development Manager to help secure the income that will power us to our 100-year anniversary and beyond. We have ambitious plans to increase our impact, strengthen our partnerships and build on the seven-figure annual income we have secured from statutory and charitable sources in recent years. Location: Home-based, with candidates able to be based anywhere in England, Scotland or Wales. Travel will be required as appropriate to support the responsibilities of the role. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced fundraiser or business development professional who can turn insight, relationships and strong project ideas into compelling bids and proposals. You will manage a varied institutional fundraising pipeline, identify and prioritise opportunities, write persuasive proposals and manage complex tenders - working with colleagues across Living Streets to secure sustainable income for our work across the UK.
