Development Engineer

Development Engineer Industry: opto-mechanical Salary: 35k- 40k Location: Great Chesterford An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Development Engineer to join an innovative engineering business developing advanced opto-mechanical products. This role offers the opportunity to work across the full product development lifecycle, from early-stage concepts through to product validation and manufacture, while working on technically challenging projects in a collaborative engineering environment. Key Responsibilities: Lead engineering projects from concept through to manufacture Develop new products and processes - supporting NPI Plan and carry out laboratory testing, analysis and product validation Produce technical documentation, reports and engineering specifications Work with cross-functional teams to improve product performance and manufacturing processes Support continuous improvement activities and technical problem solving Key Skills and Experience: Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Optics, Physics or a related engineering discipline Industrial experience in product development or RandD Experience with lab testing, product validation and technical reporting Understanding of mechanical design principles and precision engineering Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills CAD experience and knowledge of manufacturing or NPI processes is advantageous If you''re looking to join an innovative engineering business where you''ll play a key role in ..... full job details .....
