They are looking for a Development Engineer to add to the team.Development EngineerPermanent£45,000-£50,000 (Dependant on Experience)Monday - Thursday :00, Friday pmDerby Development EngineerJob DescriptionTo prototype, evaluate and help productionise new programs and industry leading methods of machining largely in a production environment.Supporting the roll out of those new programs and methods to the site, Leading new and existing projects including training of new and existing operators.Liaising with Contractors and machine installers to ensure the site is ready and has the right capabilities in place reference tooling and lifting equipment.To support the Installation of new machine tools and the industrialisation of new product, prove out and prototyping and evaluation of new methods of manufacture.Support the site teams on problem solving once methods transferred to a production environment and develop existing and new tooling and measuring technique.Conduct machining tests during RandD programs.Track actual performance vs predicted performance and identify opportunities for improvement, reporting results to both Derby and Group Engineering heads.Liaison with machine tool manufacturers ..... full job details .....
