Development Designer (Solidworks) LeicestershireFull time Permanent Our Leicestershire based clients are looking for an experienced Development Designer to join their design team.The role requires a designer with SolidWorks experience within a manufacturing or agency environment. You will already have technical design skills but this role will provide the opportunity to learn and develop as part of a team working on a variety of projects and brands. The RoleWorking within the wider design team including creative designers, you will work on developing concept designs for retail environments, and displays through production to installation, reviewing materials, construction methods and technical challenges to ensure every concept translates into a successful retail experience. Develop technical solutions across multiple projects and brandsProduce technical drawings and drawing packs for bespoke designs and multi-store rolloutsSupport senior designers on larger projectsAssist with materials and manufacturing specificationsReview prototypes and support assembly and installation teamsCarry out site surveys to ensure the approach is fit for purpose from day one.The candidate Experienced in SolidWorks for retail design Understanding of materials and manufacturing methodsPractical, proactive and organised with problem-solving abilityGood attention to detail and able to manage multiple projectsGood communication and teamwork skillsFull UK driving ..... full job details .....
