Despatch Operative

Pertemps Dudley are currently recruiting for a Despatch Operator to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Lye. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity offering stable hours and long-term prospects for the right candidate.


 Hours of Work: 

•  Monday to Thursday: 7:00am – 4:00pm

•  Friday: 7:00am – 1:00pm

•  40 hours per week
  
  

•  £12.21 per hour
  
  

•  Picking, packing, and preparing goods for despatch

•  Operating overhead crane and forklift

•  Using chop saws and nail guns to prepare and secure products for shipment

•  Ensuring orders are correctly labelled, packaged, and ready for collection

•  Completing general data input and despatch documentation accurately

•  Loading and unloading goods safely

•  Liaising with internal departments to resolve despatch or delivery queries

•  Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised despatch area

•  Previous experience in despatch, warehouse, or manufacturing environments

•  Experience using forklifts, cranes and production tools

•  Computer literate with good attention to detail

•  Strong time management and organisational skills

•  Able to use initiative and troubleshoot where required

•  Good communication skills and a positive team attitude

•  Option to be paid weekly OR monthly while temporary

•  Early finish on Fridays
