Job Title: Deskside/End User Support Technician (2-Month Contract, Umbrella) Location: Southampton Duration: 2 months Rate: £140/day (umbrella company only) Role Overview: We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Deskside/End User Support Technician to provide onsite IT support for end users. This is a 2-month contract role, offering the opportunity to troubleshoot, maintain, and resolve IT issues in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Provide first- and second-line support to end users at their desks. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, and network issues. Install, configure, and upgrade desktops, laptops, peripherals, and mobile devices. Assist with password resets, software installations, and access requests. Escalate complex issues to the appropriate IT teams while maintaining clear communication with users. Maintain accurate records of incidents and resolutions in the IT ticketing system. Support onboarding and offboarding of employees by setting up or decommissioning IT equipment. Ensure compliance with IT policies, security standards, and best practices. Required Skills andamp; Experience: Previous experience in deskside or end user support roles. Strong knowledge of Windows and/or Mac operating systems.
