This role sits within a busy desktop engineering team, handling a broad mix of vehicle types and case complexities entirely from a remote setting - no fieldwork required.What the Role InvolvesWorking from images, estimates and supporting reports, you''ll take ownership of the full engineering assessment process: Making repair vs. total loss decisionsConfirming correct repair methodology in accordance with manufacturer and Thatcham guidanceReviewing estimates and negotiating cost adjustments where neededSigning off repairs within set SLA windowsValuing vehicles and applying the correct salvage category under ABI guidelinesLiaising with repairers and other parties to agree final costs and settlement figuresKeeping all engineering decisions compliant with relevant industry and regulatory standards What We''re Looking For Solid background in motor engineering; prior desktop-based experience is a bonus, not a deal breakerComfortable working with estimating software such as Audatex, GT Motive, Glassmatix or EscribeGood grasp of Thatcham repair standards and OEM requirementsA commercially minded approach - you know how to balance quality repairs with cost controlConfident handling your own case-load, hitting KPIs ..... full job details .....
