Designated Safeguarding Lead

REED FE are seeking a dedicated Designated Safeguarding Lead to join a fantastic team on a temporary basis. This role is crucial for ensuring the safety and well-being of young vulnerable individuals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in safeguarding with experience working with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) Designated Safeguarding Lead Hourly Rate: £20 - £25 Location: Brighton Job Type: Part-time (4 days per week) ongoing Start Date: ASAP Day-to-day of the role of the DSL: Implement and manage safeguarding policies and procedures. Act as the first point of contact for all safeguarding issues. Train and support staff on safeguarding practices. Monitor and report on the well-being of vulnerable individuals. Collaborate with external organisations to ensure comprehensive support. Maintain confidential records of all safeguarding issues. Required Skills and Qualifications for the Designated Safeguarding Lead: Minimum of Level 3 in Safeguarding. Proven experience working with young vulnerable people. Experience working with SEND. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
