This is a term-time only role, starting in September 2026. Role Purpose Lead safeguarding and make sure pupils feel safe, supported, and listened to. Support children and young people with SEND, SEMH, trauma, or complex needs. Work with staff, families, senior leaders, and outside agencies to improve safety, wellbeing, attendance, and engagement. Main Duties Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead, managing safeguarding concerns, referrals, child protection records, risk assessments, and multi-agency communication. Build a strong safeguarding culture by training staff, giving guidance, spotting early warning signs, and making sure concerns are dealt with quickly and properly. Monitor attendance, identify patterns or concerns, and create practical support plans to help pupils re-engage. Provide pastoral support to pupils who may be dysregulated, anxious, vulnerable, or struggling with behaviour, transition, or emotional needs.
