- To act on behalf of the Local Authority as ''designated officer'' in respect of Allegations Management in accordance with Wolverhampton Safeguarding Partnerships Procedures as they relate to allegations against professionals and those in a position of trust working in educational, residential, foster care settings or statutory agencies
- To be responsible for the operation and development of the Allegations system for professionals, and volunteers, working in the city.
- To actively promote the management of the Allegations processes to statutory and voluntary sector agencies across the city and to employees of the Local Authority.
- To ensure that the Local Authority''s statutory duties and responsibilities in relation to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, as identified in "Working Together 2023" and the Care Act 2014 are efficiently and effectively discharged.
- To oversee the Child Employment processes and ensure employers are clear regarding their responsibilities.
- To oversee and deliver the People who Pose a risk to adults processes
- To be part of the Responsible Authorities Forum and advise in respect of safeguarding
