Design Technology Technician

Are you a practical and organised individual with experience in manufacturing, engineering, design, woodwork or another technical environment?Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking a Design and Technology Technician to join a successful secondary school in Manchester. The role will start as soon as possible and is a full-time, long-term position paying 105- 115 per day, depending on experience and relevant qualifications.There is also the opportunity for the successful candidate to secure a permanent position, subject to a successful application and interview with the school.To join us and be successful in this Design and Technology Technician role, you will need to:Have practical or technical experience gained within education, manufacturing, engineering, design, woodwork or a similar settingBe practical, proactive and highly organisedBe confident preparing materials, tools and equipmentBe able to work independently and make appropriate decisionsHave good communication and teamwork skillsBe comfortable working with secondary-aged pupilsBe willing to follow and implement health and safety proceduresBe subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances where applicable and professional reference checksProvide a CV containing a full employment and education history, with any employment breaks explainedHave the legal right to work in the UKPrevious experience working as a Design and Technology Technician or within a school workshop ..... full job details .....
