Role Overview
Youandrsquo;ll be delivering Design Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience is a bonus but not essential). Areas may include product design, resistant materials, graphics, and CAD/CAM. Your role will involve planning engaging lessons, supporting students in developing practical skills, and maintaining a safe and organised workshop environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach dynamic and engaging DT lessons that spark creativity
- Promote hands-on learning through varied design and manufacturing projects
- Track and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback
- Manage and maintain workshop tools, materials, and equipment
- Work collaboratively within the DT department to enhance curriculum delivery
- Participate in wider school activities and staff responsibilities
Candidate Requirements
- QTS or equivalent (preferred but not essential)
- Experience teaching DT at secondary level
- Strong understanding of the DT curriculum and workshop safety
- Creative and practical teaching approach
- Effective classroom and behaviour management skills
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
