Design Technology Teacher

TeacherActive is currently supporting a secondary school in Liverpool that is seeking a Design Technology Teacher with a specialism in woodwork. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated teacher to join a supportive department with excellent facilities for practical learning.

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering KS3 to KS5 DT, with a particular focus on woodwork and resistant materials at KS5. The school values vocational education and is investing in the growth of its DT provision, offering a stimulating environment for both students and staff.

We are looking for a passionate and skilled DT Teacher to join the school on a short-term basis from September 2025, with potential for a permanent position for the right candidate. The school prides itself on fostering creativity, practical skills and technical excellence among its pupils.

The successful Humanities Teacher will have:

-          QTS with a specialism in Design Technology (Woodwork/Resistant Materials preferred)

-          Experience teaching DT up to KS5 level

-          Excellent classroom management

Strong classroom management and a passion for hands-on learning
