Design Technology Teacher

A well-regarded secondary school is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Design Technology Teacher to join its dedicated and supportive department.

The successful candidate will be able to deliver engaging, practical and inspiring lessons across Design Technology, with opportunities to teach areas such as Product Design, Graphics and Food Technology. The school is looking for a teacher who can encourage creativity, develop student''s practical skills and inspire a genuine interest in design and technology.

The Role
The successful Design Technology Teacher will:
* Plan and deliver high-quality Design Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
* Teach across relevant specialisms, including Product Design, Graphics and/or Food Technology.
* Develop students'' practical, creative and problem-solving skills.
* Create an engaging and inclusive learning environment.
* Support students in developing confidence with a range of materials, tools, processes and design techniques.
* Assess and monitor student progress effectively.
* Contribute positively to the wider Design Technology department and school community.

The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a teacher who:
* Has qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent teaching experience.
* Has experience teaching Design Technology in a secondary school setting.
* Has strong subject knowledge in Product Design, Graphics, Food Technology or related areas.
* Is passionate about practical and creative education.
* Has high expectations of students and is committed to helping every learner achieve their potential.
* Is organised, enthusiastic and able to work effectively as part of a team.
