Projects are managed from initial concept and technical design through manufacture and installation. We are looking for a practical, detail-focused Design Technician to join our team and produce accurate technical designs that can be efficiently manufactured within our factory. Role Overview The Design Technician will turn approved concepts, specifications and site information into accurate 3D models, manufacturing drawings and supporting technical information. Working mainly in SolidWorks, you will collaborate with the design, production, project management and installation teams to ensure products are functional, manufacturable and meet customer requirements. The role would suit someone with strong CAD skills and a practical understanding of how furniture and products are manufactured and assembled. Main Responsibilities Produce accurate 3D models, assemblies and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks. Develop bespoke furniture from client briefs, specifications, approved concepts and site-survey information. Prepare drawings and technical information for manufacture, assembly and installation. Ensure designs are suitable for available machinery, materials and manufacturing methods. Check designs for accuracy, functionality, buildability and compliance with specifications.
