Design Managers

Our client, a specialist in the water sector, is currently seeking a Design Manager with expertise in civil engineering to join their dynamic team on a contract basis. This role is based in Manchester and offers a hybrid working arrangement, combining office presence with remote working. This is an initial 12-month contract with the possibility of an extension, operating inside IR35.Key Responsibilities:Managing the design process for wastewater infrastructure projects, including combined sewer overflows (CSOs) and pipelinesCoordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring project requirements are met efficiently and effectivelyConducting design reviews and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulationsOverseeing the preparation and delivery of technical documentation and design packagesEnsuring project timelines and budgets are adhered to throughout the design phaseProviding technical guidance and support to junior engineers and design teamsCollaborating with clients to ensure the successful delivery of project objectivesJob Requirements:Significant experience in civil engineering, particularly within the water sectorProven ability to manage complex design projects from concept to completionStrong knowledge of wastewater infrastructure, including CSOs and pipelinesFamiliarity with relevant industry standards and regulationsExcellent organisational and project management skillsStrong communication and collaboration abilitiesRelevant ..... full job details .....
